MOTORISTS find better prices on car upkeep as more and more car owners use the web to find reputable motor traders offering cheap rates or deals on their servicing and repairs.

Research carried out by, a price comparison site where local garages can quote to carry out MOT’s, servicing and repair work, shows a heavy surge of motorists going online to find the cheapest rates for providers.

The research also shows a higher take up on people having maintenance carried out on things such as breaks, timing belts and types. Something many motorists often leave until it goes wrong OR becomes illegal.

The site also records an average increase of 76% year on year.
